Dosbarth Miss Molyneux

Croeso i Dosbarth Derbyn, Miss Molyneux.

Key Information:

PE: Our PE sessions will take place on a Monday. However, we also take part in daily physical activities and outdoor provision. Children will therefore need to wear trainers or sensible shoes to school every day.
Reading Books: Reading books must be returned to school on your child’s allocated reading day. Your child’s reading day will be clearly labelled on their reading folder.
Healthy Snack: Our fruit tuck shop offers a selection of fruit for 30p per day. Children are welcome to bring a healthy fruit or vegetable snack from home for morning break if they wish. As we are a healthy school, we encourage all pupils to bring only healthy snacks and to develop a love of fruits and vegetables.
Class Dojo: Please make sure you are signed up to Class Dojo. If you need a new login, just ask Miss Molyneux.
Water Bottles: To help children stay hydrated throughout the day, we encourage them to bring a water bottle to school. Please make sure water bottles are labelled with your child’s name to avoid confusion.
Outdoor Learning: We will be starting outdoor learning sessions on Friday afternoons. Please ensure your child brings a coat and wears sensible shoes, especially now that the weather is getting colder.

We are thrilled to welcome the children back to school and look forward to all the learning adventures ahead this year! We are delighted to start the Autumn Term with our topic, 'When I Fall Asleep'. Our learners will become Night Explorers, finding out what happens while we sleep. They’ll learn about nocturnal animals, journey into space, discover how different cultures celebrate the moon and light, and more! This enquiry will spark curiosity and imagination while helping the children develop key skills across the curriculum.

We launched our topic with a special visit from the Wonderdome! The children really enjoyed the experience and came away with lots of wonderful questions and ideas.

Please remember that if you have any queries or would like to chat about your child, you are always welcome to contact me.

Thank you for your continued support.
