Welcome back!  We are thrilled to be welcoming the children back to school and looking forward to kicking off the Autumn Term with our topic Up, Up and Away!

Important information for Year 1

Outdoor Learning – We will be taking part in Outdoor Learning sessions every Tuesday. Please make sure your child has a coat every day.

PE – Our class PE sessions will take place every Tuesday. Please make sure your child wears their PE kit every Tuesday.  (Jogging bottoms/leggings, school T-shirt, jumper and trainers are fine).

Reading Books – Your child has been given a reading folder with their reading day on. Reading books must be returned to school on their allocated reading day.

Class Dojo – Messages and notices are often sent from the class teacher and the school on Class Dojo.  Please ensure you have signed up and are accessing the messages.  If you need any help or support with this, please ask.  

Snack  – Our fruit tuck shop is open every day.  Children can choose from a selection of fruit at a cost of 30p a day.  Children are able to bring their own healthy fruit snack into school for the morning break if they wish.  We are encouraging all children to bring a healthy snack to help promote healthy eating habits.

Water bottles – These can be sent in for the children to have a drink during class time – WATER ONLY.  Please label the bottles, so there is no confusion.

Please can you support your child at home by helping them log in to their HWB and Numbots accounts.  These passwords have been given out previously.  If you need any of these passwords sent home again or if you need any support accessing these resources, please ask.

Autumn Term

We launched our Autumn Term topic with a visit from the 'Wonderdome'.  The children were ex-cir=ted and eager to learn lots of different facts about the Planets, Space and the Solar System.  The children are going to be learning what it is like to be in space and the role of an astronaut.

We look forward to updating you throughout the term on our journey through space.
